Our weekends in September and October have been filled with an exciting variety of events, bringing the community together for writing, culture and the arts. All three events are in their second year running and each expanding on the previous year with record numbers and rave reviews.
Port Fairy Literary Weekend
We started September with the Port Fairy Literary Weekend, which was an outstanding showcase of Australian writing. The weekend aims to celebrate and promote Australian writing, to bring authors from far and wide to our little corner of the world, and in so doing build networks and engagement between writers and readers. Sell out events led to many of the events being moved to larger venues to accommodate more event-goers.
Warrnambool Multicultural Festival
The Warrnambool Multicultural Festival saw record numbers flock to the Civic Green to experience and celebrate the multitude of cultures in Warrnambool. Despite the weather, the event was a buzz of foods, musical performance, and community groups promoting their work.
Fabric of Life Festival
If you missed this year's Fabric of Life Festival presented by the F Project, be sure to get yourself a ticket next year. The Fabric of Life Festival is an incredible showcase of wearable art - a fashion show like no-other with entries from across the country.
Thank you to the committees, volunteers and passionate individuals behind each of these amazing events - we are proud to support the work that you do.
